Daniel Michalik


Daniel Michalik is a designer from New york, interested in researching and utilizing materials that are sustainable and underused. ''My recent work taps the rich potential of cork, an engaging, environmentally responsible material which is completely sustainable, recyclable, and plentiful. Hiroki Takada

This is the tea ceremony Chair currently being presented at Tokyo Design Festival by Hiroki Takada. Based on the tea whisk used to make Japanese tea, this chair is made from bamboo, it is very elegant and the loose bamboo of the back rest is very flexible and comfortable. (Thanks Deb found here.)
