Joe Brubaker

I know it's not furniture but it is wood and I wanted you to see the way that sculptor Joe Brubaker works it to create these startling 'totems'.
"Carving . . . is necessarily an 'action' art, and I think the presence of the hand on the work is one of the highly appealing characteristics of woodwork. I also feel that wood, even painted or with a patina, has a warmth and depth that few other art mediums can match." Joe Brubaker (thanks).
