Branch and Ash Dieback

Beautiful minimalism this is a Christmas tree by Branch (Damelza Hill) from sustainable ash wood.
Unfortunately since this was designed Ash is now threatened and not sustainable in Britain, Ash Dieback Chalara fraxinea is a fungal infection that is killing our native ash trees is now known to be widespread.
Ash trees are common to farm hedge rows in Britain and their loss will be dramatic.
I keep hearing what can we do about ash dieback on the news and current affairs programmes.
All we can do, is plant more trees of different naturalised breeds oak, beech, chestnut, birch etc until the scientists can establish the resistant trees and restock Ash from this genetic pool.
