The ingenious 'fan table' by
Mauricio Affonso is constructed from over 400 connected slats that expand and contract to
create the shape required it is constructed of birch wood. Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Mauricio lived in Curitiba, Londrina, Porto
Alegre, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and later moved to Toronto, Canada
to study Industrial Design at the
OCAD he is currently studying his MA in product desgn at the
RCA.
