Li Hongbo

Li Hongbo sculpts in paper that has been painstakingly stuck together in honeycomb formation until it is a dense block like balsa wood, he then carves this compressed honeycomb into figures that can then be stretched and contorted. Li Hongbo is currently exhibiting at the 18th biennally of  Sydney where his latest works are sculpted weapons made in the same way as his figures but from coloured papers. (thank you)
