Jalmari Laihinen is a collaboration between the maker and the material.
"Wood is an organic material, built to be a trunk of a tree. It is a unique material with a strong character. It changes dimensions as the ambient humidity changes, it has knots, and defects, it cracks and breaks. These are properties which are often considered unwanted, but they offer a lot of opportunities." Jalmari Laihinen
