This table 'The foremen table' or hedgehog table by Jody Koomen was inspired by his finding the skeleton of a hedgehog it is constructed of sycamore and oak.
"This winter we found the bones of a hedgehog, I was amazed how pleasing the shapes of these bones were. They always have this optimum balance between strength and lightness. I'm really inspired by their shapes and how they've evolved to perform very specific functions. I noticed that a number of bones have natural openings in them, these openings are called foramen."
