Kcho 'Alexis Levya Machado' as an artist who's work is inextricably connected to his childhood. He was raised on the Isla de la Juventud (Isladn of youth), Cuba, located miles from the mainland, water defines and is the language of all of Kcho's life and work. His sculptures, usually boat forms, are constructed from salvaged materials, he is the son of a carpenter and an internationally acclaimed artist.
