Malou van Dijck

'Proper Objects make proper People' This is the ideology behind the designs of  Malou van Dijck.

"Today people treat their things with far less respect. Wear, decay and damage; these are all accepted, even appreciated. Malou van Dijck’s modern takes on display cabinets demand a renewed respect from their users. Their appeal grows through the proper treatment with soap and wax. They can be seen as a contemporary take on behavioural reform."

Since graduating from the Design Academy in Eindhoven Malou van Dijck and Laura Koenen have joined to become Studio Op Poten their ideas for product and graphic design are triggered by peculiarities of human behavior and how people relate to their surroundings and belongings.
