Rudd's Rakes

The last hay rake factory of Britain, Rudd's Rakes is a company based in Cumbria and is run by John and Graeme Rudd (above on the right is John now 78 with his father). The factory was established in 1860 by John's Great Grandfather. They hand make 10,000 rakes a year from ash and silver birch with a distinktive steam bent bow, for extra strength.

However John and Graeme's skills are not reserved to hay rakes alone below are malt forks for turning the malt in whiskey production and the bottom image is of dragon forks . . . for zookeepers to control Komodo Dragons.
