Welsh woodworker Sam Knight's son is a year old and to celebrate he has made him this wonderful oak and sycamore chair, based on an old oak piece in Carmarthenshire Museum in Abergwili that was made in Alltwalis, see below.

Florent Coirier
"The chair uses materials common to shipbuilding. The aluminum tube is bent and used for its light properties, creating an illusion compared to the apparent strength of the tubes. The Traditional natural rope, is replaced by the nautical rope in polyester and polyamide, stronger and more varied in choice of colors. The wooden board is retained, but treated in a noble solid wood (Oak gross), This chair plays with the archetypes of garden games, and refers directly to our childhood feelings."

Play&Eat Saddle Seat
Great multi-functional design from Tamasine Osher for children.
"My intention is to rekindle the human relationship with objects, encouraging an interaction of the visual with the tactile, expressing the simplicity of materials and honest construction - perhaps to stimulate curiosity and awaken emotions using contrasting forms and elements" Tamasine Osher
