Sangiovanni Lorenzo

A Uruguayan family, Estudio Sangiovanni'and Lorenzo design and make outstanding tableware in their small workshop at Camino de Santiago , Galicia. They began by making toys and small utilitarian wooden objects but then they met chef Javier Olleros. Through his specialist desire for wooden cutlery and tableware that complimented his gastronomy came a new focus. The touch, sight and smell of these hand crafted objects amplified the incredible food and now the Sangiovanni family design and make for over sixty haute cuisine restaurants throughout Europe.

Dominic Pearce

Dominic Pearce's (cornishwoodsmith) beech tableware is made from foraged and storm damaged wood hand finished with visible mends for cracked timber where necessary.

"Drawn in by the meditative nature of working green wood with simple hand tools, I went about learning the age old techniques, refined by generations of craftsmen to create functional domestic woodenware - the items we use everyday to eat, prepare and serve food."
