Jonathan Rose's 'segment one' table is a modular dining table made from oak and sycamore. it is designed as one of three tables that can be arranged as a circle or in a linear form. Jonathan works from his workshop on Deeside in Aberdeen using mostly native Scottish hardwoods. Jonathan's aim with his designs is to make a visual and tactile impact, and he certainly achieved this with his segment table at the Dovecot. The passion and joy at the problem solving, creativity, design and craft of all the furniture makers involved in this exhibition was very inspiring and uplifting, it is a great exhibition.
