Matt Gagnon I

Inspiring, innovative and exceptional Matt Gagnon's designs and techniques are amazing. Pictured above are some examples of Matt Gagnon's screens, dens and walls made from hardwoods such as teak. Matts unique way of constructing his designs means that they can be reinvented, they have a fluidity of form and purpose. (Merci)

Ai Weiwei

We have a lot of sculpture on this blog, but there is a lot of furniture in sculpture and its relationship is very interesting. I suppose it is because it is the silent witness to our lives and is often the only witness remaining after holocausts and atrocities.
Works by Ai Weiwei incorporating chairs.

Damian Ortega

Damian Ortega is an artist known for taking things apart and putting them back together again. "I'm interested in those everyday attempts to produce meaning" Damian Ortega.
With this piece Damian has created meaning, the visual meaning of a fallen chair becoming upright like Duchamp's Nude descending staircase,
Damian has rendered into reality, this movement.
His work is the product of a restless mind, one that like a child, has not settled into acceptance but questions everything, he is an amazing artist.
