Calum Reid 'Shipwrecked'







"Imagine a man, stranded upon a desert island, the remaining timber from his ship torn up and splintered with little use for anything other than fuelling a fire. Now imagine this man to be a carpenter, crafting himself a homely shelter, knowing he me never leave the island, this chair his favoured piece, made from the firewood remains using the meagre tools from the wreck and finished with natural oils available at hand. 
That was my aim for this piece, that is why I titled it Shipwrecked." Calum Reid
