Jonathan Lassen originally trained in engineering and photography before becoming absorbed with carpentry and joinery. Having retrained he pursued his interest and knowledge by working on restoration projects in Languedoc and Pennsylvania. In 1981 he established his own business. Jonathan's work is inspired by American and Scottish arts and crafts as well as contemporary Japanese joinery and design. Jonathan's work is currently being exhibited as part of the Scottish Furniture Makers exhibition at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Edinburgh.
