Gaetano Pesce who's career has spanned more than forty years is an architect and designer. Pesce trained initially in Venice before living and working in Strasbourg,  Pittsburgh, Milan, Hong Kong and then New York. Gaetano Pesce's innovations are consistently groundbreaking and traverse boundaries between art, design and industry. His award winning design is constantly fluid, defying definition, responding to the needs of the time we live in.

Seung Yong Song II

This would be an amazing design for combating SAD. Seung Yong Song designed it as a den.
"I have memories that I made a den somewhere in my house as a child- Under the
table, in the wardrobe, and in the attic- I created my own base and felt
relieved as if I avoided enemies that were actually non-existent. My own secret
space at the moment which was comfortable and protected, better than a huge
mansion, the coziness of the space like a bird's nest isn't what we dream
basically?"

Seung Yong Song I

"I climb on a chair. I put books on a ladder. If things are freed from their own unique functions, we might agonize over how to use this object." Seung Yong Song
I think the theory behind this is fantastic, to free objects from the constraints of their classification and actually design them to fulfill the true potential of their usage.

Enzo Mari

16 Animali, or 16 Animals(top) is a wooden puzzle of carved animal shapes that join together to form a rectangle. Used as building blocks, the animals can also be stacked in all sorts of way to form various sculptures. This puzzle was followed by 16 Pesci, or 16 Fish (Bottom) which is a similar toy made up of all sorts of sea creatures.

Francois Xavier and Claude Lalanne I

Wonderful zoomorphism from French husband and wife artists Francois Xavier and Claude Lalanne. Their designs drew from sources such as ancient Egypt and Surrealism. For the later half of the 2oth century there work bucked the trends of contemporary design of whiter slicker harder making as they designed a veritable ark of zoomorphic furniture.
