Matt Gagnon II

Here are two of Matt Gagnon's pieces squeeze lamp, which is a lamp hinged so that you can squeeze and manipulate the shape and intensity of light it emits, and Box Chandelier. In both his work with these lighting features and his screens Matt's work is defined by the interaction of the solid wood and the light that it allows or restricts.

Joachim King

Joachim King's veneer lamps, exhibited at the Dovecot, Edinburgh. Originally from a family of boat builders Finland, Joachim is now based in Glasgow. Here the combined influences of his boat building ancestry and his degree in mechanical engineering prove to be the perfect ingredients for innovative and practical design.
