Meike Harde




Wrapped Pleated and folded Meike Harde has created a new form of upholstery by manipulating flat foam matting. Creating a strong firm core with a flexible soft surface. The design avoids permanent attachment of the foam meaning that when the upholstery is worn it can be removed and replaced easily.

John Paul I


John Paul has just finished his HND at Fife College and part of his final show was his reinterpretation of George Nelson's Marshmallow Sofa of 1956 which was originally steel and plastic and reinterpreted it using wood and upholstery.
John Paul's work in his final year has been very focused on upholstery using upcycled scraps of fabric to create patchwork designs.

Bokja

Frederik Farg


Re-cover is a project by Frederik Farg that looked to classic design and tailoring as it's inspiration for up cycling second hand chairs. By using old chairs from flea markets and removing the backrest, replacing it with a new textile dress/structure?of mouldable polyester felt, he is creating “slow fashion” furniture, giving the old chairs a new glance.
